About Us

Building a Brighter Future Together

Our Story

Empowering Lives Since 2001

The Cage Youth Foundation began as a vision to bring hope and connection to the young people of Redlands. Founded by Peter and Linda Grieve in 2001, our story started with a simple but powerful idea: to create a good environment for youth and families facing life’s toughest challenges.

“The Cage” stands for Creating A Good Environment, a name that reflects our mission to inspire change, foster connection, and build brighter futures. What began with community events and outreach BBQs at local skate parks grew into a drop-in youth centre in the heart of Capalaba. Today, it has evolved into a thriving foundation serving Redlands with innovative programs, mental health support, and community initiatives.

Peter and Linda’s dream of making a difference was rooted in compassion and a deep commitment to their community. Today, their legacy continues as The Cage remains a trusted source of support, empowerment, and belonging for countless families and young people.
