Student Wellbeing Support

Supporting Student Wellbeing, Together with Schools

Driven by Care, Grounded in Schools

Partnering with schools to deliver trusted student welfare and chaplaincy support.

At The Cage Youth Foundation, we work alongside schools to support students’ social, emotional and mental wellbeing in practical, meaningful ways.

Through student welfare and chaplaincy services, we provide a consistent, approachable presence where students can feel supported and navigate challenges that may be impacting their learning or wellbeing. Our approach is relationship-led, early-intervention focused and grounded in real school environments.

Working closely with school staff, families and support networks, we help strengthen student wellbeing and contribute to a positive, supportive school culture where young people feel safe and supported.

Student Welfare & Chaplaincy

As an AEA with the Queensland Department of Education, The Cage provides Student Welfare Workers, Chaplains and Youth Support Coordinators to Queensland state schools.

Early Intervention & Pastoral Support

We support students through everyday challenges with calm, relationship-based care that helps build emotional wellbeing, resilience and confidence over time.

School-Integrated Support

Our staff work alongside school leadership, wellbeing teams and families to strengthen existing support structures and connect students to additional services when needed.

Practical Student Support

We also support student wellbeing through practical initiatives such as breakfast clubs and in-school support activities that help students feel settled, included and ready to learn.

Why It Matters

Student wellbeing is closely linked to engagement, behaviour and learning outcomes, both in and beyond the classroom.
